Position description

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for driving revenue growth and increasing Search Optics’ market share in in Automotive Outside Sales: Tier 2, Tier III and Dealer Groups.

Position duties

Acquisition Responsibilities

  • Leads outside sales activities to acquire new business in U.S. Group automotive Dealer groups and Tier III customers
  • Manages lead generation activities and follows-up to close the sale
  • Manages sales processes to present to and close leads generated by Inside Sales Team
  • Collaborates with the VP of Sales to train Outside Sales Team on current and new products
  • Assists sales managers develop and deliver sales presentations to prospects

Development Responsibilities

  • Works with VP of Sales and Inside Sales Team to identify new development opportunities within current client base
  • Trains team on new products and services to increase revenue within accounts
  • Fosters a consultative sales approach to present Search Optics solutions and maintain client satisfaction
  • Holds Outside Sales Team accountable for all sales activity through CRM

Position requirements

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years related work experience in automotive sales
  • Strong understanding of Digital Marketing technology products and services
  • Retail or wholesale automotive sales experience
  • Previous experience managing dealer groups or advertising associations
  • Digital Sales acumen and experience preferred
  • Proven relationship-building and communication skills
  • Ability to develop new business
  • Clear, concise communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, results-oriented environment
  • Proficiency with standard MS Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Working Conditions

  • Indoor, environmentally controlled conditions
  • In contact with others (face-to-face, by telephone, or otherwise) frequently, including working in teams
  • Perform job tasks in slightly close physical proximity to other people
  • Traveling at a minimum 50% of the time is required

Physical Requirements

  • The ability to listen and to understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
  • Perform work using computers and electronic devices
  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
  • Lift an object between approximately 10 and 25 pounds
  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
  • Traveling, to include driving a rental vehicle and flying on a commercial airplane
